Hi everyone!
I have spend a few days hovering on this forum, and am posting my first thread in major need of some advice. I graduated in July with a double undergraduate degree (Business Management/Arts) from an Australian university. My GPA (on a 7 point scale) is unfortunately not good - as I had a couple of crash and burn semesters due to a number of issues in my life coming to a head all at once. After that I pulled my socks up and went to on graduate. Every other semester of my degree bar those 2, I achieved a healthy (but not outstanding) GPA.
Finding a job is excruciating. My degree was very general, meaning that I am a jack of all trades, but master of none. So, I am beginning to wonder whether a pre-experience MBA would be a good way forward. I have been looking at the CEMS MIM programme, as well as a Msc in Luxury Management. I can speak French, and spent a semester abroad in France so would love to head back there. A program with an international focus is very important to me, as well as having a internship/work experience component. (This was a major failing of my undergrad program). I am looking mainly at European programs, as this is where I would like to end up - however am open to suggestions.
So - does anyone have any experience of ;luxury management programs? What about MIM? Based on research this program is more finance orientated (so, so, so not my interest!), but has more job possibilities.
I'm really just looking to talk things through with people who have been in a similar situation, and to see if I can sort my head out!
