Hi people,

would you recommend to incorporate different topics in two academic letters of recommendation or do you think that it won't matter, if the admission committee reads two very similar LoR's?

Well, first of all, if you are applying to MBA I wouldn''t recommend sending in two academic recommendations, instead I'd recommend two professional recommendations. and yes, even if the two recommenders are from the same place, they should be saying different things, otherwise they can lose their effectiveness...

Best,
JF

just to chime in...academic recommendations should generally be used sparingly if possible unless you are very young candidate with little work experience. One potentially but hopefully not both. Now to answer your question directly its always good for each aspect of your application, recommendations to build off of each other and offer additional and new info about the candidate so if this is possible I would certainly recommend it. You never want to miss an opportunity to share new info about yourself!

Hope this helps!
