Please describe an incident from your personal experiences that typifies your definition of leadership. Specifically address ethics, diversity, collaboration and motivation.

Please help me with some sample essays so that I can get an idea how other people write. Mostly the structure.

Always follow the STAR approach in such essays. Describe the situation quickly, then move on the task at hand, the actions that you took and finally the result.

Also, make sure you address each component of the question and address the qualities that the essay is talking about.

You've got some great advice from folks on how to write and structure your essay. Maybe I can give you some advice on topics that might make sense? As you know, one of the most important things for business school applicants is leadership, so the school simply wants you to give an example of your leadership skills. Think about a time where you had to lead a team towards a tough goal. How did you motivate them? How did you guide them? What challenges did you run into? You could also talk about a time where you had to go against a group when you saw something that bothered you. Maybe a team member was being excluded or singled out and you had to be a leader and show your group the right way.
