Hi guys,

Like many of you my GMAT was not great - 590 and my GPA is not stellar 3.0

I need some input on colleges I could apply for that would be decent programs where I might have a better shot of getting in.

I have applied so far to these long shots:

UW-Madison
UofIowa - Iowa City
UofM Carroll

Any schools in the east coast or others I should consider?

I wanted to apply to Boston but with my stats - I might as well just take the $100 app fee and burn the bill.

Not sure if I answered your question elsewhere in another forum but take a look at the following schools: Baruch and Fordham in NY and Northeastern in Boston

How many times have you taken the GMAT? If it was only once, I definitely recommend taking it again. Also, how much work did you put into preparation? If you tried to do it all on your own, you might want to check out a tutor or class. Not to say that you can't do it on your own, but if you score that low consistently, it might be best to bring in some outside expert help. If you can bump your score into the mid 600s, you should definitely apply to Boston University, but also to some schools like Georgetown or Indiana (two schools I think are very underrated).
