What if I'm thinking of getting a recommendation from someone who is also applying for MBA? Both of us might be applying at the same time (might not be in the same round, though).

I don't think we are applying to the same schools either, but what if we are?

Interesting situation. I assume this person is still in a supervisory role? If so, there is nothing wrong with this, although it would not be very common. The biggest thing I would think about is how strong the letter will be. It shouldn't be weaker just because that person is applying, but then again it is something to consider. The other thing to consider is you want to have someone who has managed multiple people so they are able to compare you to others. Is this true in this case?

You would also need to consider the quality of recommendation that you can expect to get from him or her, this would depend on your professional relationship and personal ethics, as well, in this case.

If you feel this is risky, you need to consider other potential recommenders.

He is in a supervisory role. So yes, he does have a few people under him. He did tell me that he was impressed by my work ethic and skills as well, so I'm not too worried about the quality...and I do think he will be happy to provide a recommendation for him...but I'm just worried about what the admission committee will think.
