Kroll Background Check

Question

I work for a big company. I'm completing the application and don't know whether to put my manager's number or a general HR number based far away. If admitted, does Kroll call the number I listed on the application or does it automatically populate their form with a my company's HR number because it's a big company?

Hey dloren4 , They won’t consider these numbers. Either they will reach out to you to get the hr contact (they did this for my verification and my company is fortune 5th

) or find out themselves. So, don’t worry. It’s still preferable to put HR contact number. All the best

Most likely the numbers will never get used like they would for a job verification check, but either way I would put an HR contact, many employers have employee verification numbers as well so check if your employer has this

See if your employer uses a company called "The Work Number" for employment verification. That's always a good route to go.
