Hi All,
I am a female corporate lawyer and working in the legal department of an MNC for more than 3 years. Earlier I was working in the legal department of an Indian company. I have total 5+ years of experience and I am based out of India.
My job profile in both the companies included preparing agreement drafts, negotiating them, HR queries and handle all other legal matters of my company. I handle all the intellectual property rights related matters (mostly trademarks) of the company too. However, my work profile has been very general and I have not developed a niche in any area of law.
I wish to do MBA to accelerate my career growth and get into consulting. However, I am having a hard time deciding on a short-term goal after MBA. I was thinking of writing M&A consultant but considering I do not have a finance background at all, I am thinking it will not go down well with Adcom. Someone kindly let me know what should I put as my short term career goal. Does putting management consulting or general consulting make more sense than stating a very specific M&A consulting goal.
