Hi Guys,
I am a 29-year-old Indian male engineer with 6 years of solid work experience with startups and no big tags and international exposure.
My performance in engineering was below par because of the exact reasons you just thought of. I scored 4.78 on a scale of 10 as per the university, which results in 47.8% according to the official conversion matrix.
Correct me if I am wrong, it pans out to be 2.0 on a scale of 4. I want to pursue a full-time MBA from one of the top European colleges such as LBS, Said, Judge, HEC, IESE, ESADE.
700 on GMAT. good community work and average essay writing skills but a lot to share.
My specific questions are-
1. Am I punching high with my school choices because of a low GPA? If yes, then best colleges I should look at?
2. How will low GPA impact my admission and future job prospects?
3. I have read a lot on how to deal with a low GPA in MBA applications but do they really apply on a GPA of 2.0 as well?
I have spoken with some of the consultants including the top ones. Some of them are an optimist (is it sales pitch?), whereas some have clearly told me that I stand no chance because of GPA.
Any help will be appreciated. Blunt honesty preferred.
Thanks.
