Hi Everyone,
I took the GMAT this weekend and scored a 680. Verbal 39 and Quant 44. I am trying to decide whether or not I should take the test again.
I Spent about 3 months studying hard and worked with a private tutor. I took 4 practice tests from MBA . com after I had completed my tutoring and received the following scores.
690: V35 - Q49
710: V38 - Q48
650: V34 - Q45
690 V39 - Q46
As you can see, on the actual test day I received my best ever verbal score and my worst ever quant score. It was a bit of a strange performance...
The shortlist of schools that I am hoping to attend is:
Georgetown - Average 692
Vanderbilt - Average 690
UT Austin - Average 704
Should I take the test again? Or is my score of 680 likely good enough to get me into the three schools above assuming that the rest of my application looks good?
Any thoughts, ideas, or opinions would be appreciated.

I will say its totally your call, If you are looking forward for admission in Round 1, see whether you have time to improve your score or not. if not go ahead preparing your Round 1 application. Given the average score, I don't think it will be difficult for you to get in one of said colleges plus you mentioned you have a good profile, so i will suggest go ahead for R1 applications.
Only if you still feel like you can improve in Quant and have time in submitting application, Go ahead and study, Just because you want to improve your GMAT score. You won't face much issue with College selection, If they are your only target colleges.

Welcome to the GMATClub. Compared with your mocks score, you managed very well in Verbal part. but somehow, quants is lesser. Even though you score is almost of the desired school's average, they expect a good mix score. If you want retake, take a ESR and do the section wise analysis then start the preparation. You can take one more attempt with 4-6 weeks preparation. all the best.
