MBA Info: Want to do an MBA for the life experience, opportunity to meet great people, and possibly to transition to a U.S. PE role from my current London role as an associate. Will refine the wording / messaging of this for the essays.
Why Now: 5yrs of experience, 3yrs at GS / MS / JPM and 2yrs at a PE fund (Bridgepoint / Apax) by the time I submit my application. Looking to possibly transition to a fund in the U.S. and because my fund does not have a path to partner for me in London without an MBA.
Target Schools: HBS / GSB
Work Exp.: Covered earlier but 2yrs as an IBD analyst at GS / MS / JPM and 1yr as an associate there. Then 1 year at Bridgepoint / Apax. Will do another year here before I submit my application.
Extra Curric.: Tennis coaching when I was a teenager. Strong swimmer competing at national level as a teenager. Captained cricket teams during school and university
Education: UK undergrad Economics (Warwick / UCL) graduated with first class honours (4.0 US equivalent). UK Postgrad MSc in Finance (Oxford / Cambridge) graduated with distinction
Race / Ethnicity: Born and brought up in the U.K. with Indian heritage
Sex: Male
GMAT: 720, Q48, V40
Would really appreciate peoples' honest opinion on my profile. What do I need to do to increase my chances at HBS and GSB? I am most concerned about my GMAT as things stand. Thanks for the help in advance!
