The MBA is considered a versatile degree and can open up plenty of doors. If you are looking at the insurance and fintech industries, you might be qualified to take on a business development, strategy, marketing, etc. role even with little to no experience. You would want to spend your time getting your MBA in deeply understanding those industries, taking courses in functional areas that are less familiar to you, and networking with companies and professionals in those two sectors. Making the pivot is definitely possible!
I am not sure the 1-year MBA is a good fit for someone such as yourself. Yes, it saves time, but the people who qualify for such programs typically have significant business-related training, experience or academics under their belt. It doesn't sound like you have any of that being a lawyer. If so, I would look at the full-time MBA, especially given what you mentioned above about wanting to pivot your career. The internship that is possible under a full-time MBA program (and not as part of the 1-Year MBA) could go a long way for you in making that transition.
Good luck,
