How should we handle it when the school asks which other schools?
To what other business schools are you applying? Should we give peer names, superior ones, or lower-ranked ones?

You can be honest. This is by no means impacting your chances. The schools are trying to gather data on their yields and cross-admits. They have no idea if you will get into other programs and your preferences. Let's say you gave them only lower-ranked schools. Would that mean that they should feel more confident that you would accept their offer if given one instead of the other programs or does that indicate you are reaching with them? On the converse, if you only give higher-ranked programs should they assume they are a safety for them or that you are overqualified? It works both ways.

You may get other opinions in this forum, but it's not the type of thing that touches your credentials or viability for a given school.

 Yeah, it is a very tricky one. Schools say they do not care but still ask us while applying. I am sure it factors in. If it really does not factor then they should ask us after releasing the decisions probably.

I respectfully disagree. There is little to no chance they will get that information after decisions released, especially from people who were denied admission. The best way to get data is when it is required as part of their process.

To my point, it's extremely, extremely unlikely it factors into your decision. I would not lose sleep over this issue.

Yeah...I agree.
At the same time, there is no guarantee that people would the correct information from Applicant.

Our advice, only if the exact wording allows it:
We recommend to mention two other schools. If possible, we recommend that the two other schools will be a bit easier to get into, than the current school (not much much easier). If the above is not possible, consider ignoring the question.
