I am applying for 2022 intake with Canada as my prime focus. (Round 2)
GMAT 650 (Q45 v35) | IR 7
Undergraduate - Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (8th in India for Engineering schools)
GPA - 7.3/10 (65.5%)
Extra Curricular - President - Formula Student Club (Came 10th in India in 2016 out of 170 cars)
Placement Co-Ordinator - Worked with Dean Student Welfare to plan Placement activities and helped with placements and internships for over 1500 students with over 200 companies visiting campus for placements. Placement Committee size (17/850)
Organized multiple events within College Campus (College Freshers events, College Fests)
Work Experience - US Based Financial Services Firm with niche in Debt Recovery (Biggest Debt Recovery firm in US). 3.5 Years Work experience till now. Promoted once after 1.5 years. Next promotion due in Mar'22. Worked on multiple projects and won awards for top performance. Handling Team Engagement Activities for Analytics Team in India
Pro-Bono Consulting Project - Helping a friend setup and expand his family business (Medical Pharmacy). helped with Data integration, website, new site planning, strategic initiatives etc.

Thank you for sharing your profile. Starting with the stats, your undergrad GPA and GMAT score are quite low. For Sauder, Alberta, and HEC Montreal, the average GMAT score is 650, and for Rotman, Schulich, Ivey, Smith average GMAT score is approximately 680. You can apply to Schulich, Ivey, and Smith. These programs are starting in January with deadlines in March/April. You can try to improve your GMAT score. You will need to bring leadership, impact, and innovation from your work experience on the work front. Also, the initiative you took in your friend’s project is valuable and creates an impact. Regarding your post-mba goals, Schulich and smith are good in both finance and consulting.
Overall you have a good profile. However, I recommend that you increase your GMAT score. We recently assisted a candidate with a 640 GMAT to gain admission to IE, so it also depends on your overall profile. If you're planning to make another attempt to bring up your GMAT score (especially the Q45), it's important to figure out the exact reasons why you're scoring where you are. In general, we find that test takers in the 650+ range have as much challenge with their Test Taking Skills as anything to do with concepts. The good news is that Test Taking Skill gaps are quicker to correct (almost like a switch with the right coaching).
