How do business schools consider a student's GPA ?

A. The total commultive GPA for all undergraduate course work at student's academic institution where I was granted the degree ?

B. The last 60 credits of undergraduate/graduate course work ?

C. The final total GPA for all undergraduate course work at all universities and community colleges attended ?

D. Depending on the MBA program applied to ?

E. Non of the above :lol:

I'd say D. :)

For internationals, there's also a problem of average vs weighted average. E.g. Haas says that GPA from US institution should be weighted, while international GPA should be plain arithmetic average.

In addition, if you have taken a class a 2nd time in order to receive a higher grade, do you add in both grades or just add in the highest grade?

He asks whether one should use plain or weighted average if you're an international student studying in US. Of course you should use whatever applies to US degrees - that is, in case of Haas use weighted average.

I wouldn't try to hide it, I was just wondering if you add in both grades, the first one, or the highest grade when calculating your GPA on apps. Some schools let you supersede classes so only your highest grade will show up.

Also, I have taken an undergrad class at a different university after receiving my BS degree. Can I add this grade into my total GPA calculation, or do they only want your pre-graduate GPA?

For example, I received a D in a class in college but was still able to graduate with that low grade. I recently took the same class again at a different university and received an A. Can I add the A into my undergrad GPA calculation, even though it was post graduation?

Eh, hopefully this makes sense.
