Hi All,

Happy new years to my fellow GMAT clubbers. I hope that this new year brings acceptance for all of us into schools that we deserve to be in.

Needed clarification on Columbia deadlines:

- If I turn my app in before Jan 10th, than it will still follow the first-in-first-review principal, correct?
- If I turn it in between Jan 10 - April 18, Ad Com will collect all apps and review them at random order, correct?
- If yes, does it make any difference if I turn my app in on Feb 12th as compared to March 28th?
- And finally, is Jan 10 - April 18 really like R3 for other school? So is it recommended to not apply in that period?


With deadlines for Wharton, Stanford and Columbia all so close together, I am trying to figure out when would be the best time to focus on Columbia and turn it in.

I don't have any answers, but I just wanted to note that Columbia's website was flaky again tonight. I'm definitely not waiting until the last minute to submit this one.

No, it works the same as if you submit it before Jan 10. You'll just be way back at the end of the line and you will not be considered for merit schollies.

Like you say below, its like applying during a later round. Spots are filling up quickly, and unless their yield is lower than expected, it'll hurt to apply late. (Even though I've heard different takes on this so don't take it as the gospel)
