Hi,
Should I recalculate my main transcript GPA to include my grades from studying abroad? This would bring me down from a 3.6 to a 3.5.
My main transcript just lists the total credits I received from study abroad--no grades or course names. This means that my GPA on my transcript doesn't include the grades from study abroad.
Some friends of mine who went on different study abroad programs have their study abroad course names and grades listed on their main transcript. I think this just depends on how close the my college and the study abroad college were.
I'm doing this for MIT, which provides no guidance on this, as far as I can tell. Furthermore, they have a self-reported transcript form which has me list my GPA for each year and each semester. So I'm guessing it would probably look bad to omit the study abroad grades from the GPA calculation. But then my self-reported GPA won't match my transcript GPA. Help!
