Undergrad requirements

Question

Hi,
I am about to graduate with a bachelors in Communication from UCSB. I know some mba programs require certain business courses, am I able to satisfy these requirements through community college post graduation?

Hi. I would verify that schools require certain courses. Most of the US business schools at least don’t have undergraduate curriculum requirements.

It’s possible that some Canadian business schools may have that or some masters programs may have that and in that case, you can take community college classes but again I would verify because that’s not typical.

No school really requires business courses in your undergrad as a requirement for applying to B-school. Have seen that requirement in a couple of MiM/MSc in Management programs, but not for the MBA. Your degree meets all requirements for you to apply for an MBA.

you can always connect with adcom of the school where you want to apply and get your profile evaluation done... or else connect with existing students via linkedin etc. to know about your profile fitment in the course of interest.

Most MBA programs do not need business courses; however, if you have come across some programs, it would be worth to check this directly with the Ad Com of the concerned schools.

Agreed, I applied to a lot of Canadian schools that had no such requirements either.
