Things have been quiet here for a bit - how is everyone doing?

I'm cruising at work, realizing that I probably can't quit in June like I'd planned, working on finalizin details for ma wedding, putting my house on the market, etc. I'm spending next weekend doing undergraduate interviews for my alma, weekend after that taking care of some details for the house, putting the house on the market Feb 1 (anyone wanna buy it?), and then the weekend after taht I have a friend coming to visit. Nothing planned immediately afterwards, but then I've got the GSB admit weekend. The next few months are already shaping up to be pretty darn busy!

LOL...

I'll just describe it instead. 2 bd / 2ba, 1500sq ft, 50ft south facing balcony, hardwood in living and 2nd bedroom, granite countertops, large pantry, double vanity in master bath, jacuzzi tub, sep master shower, full size second bathroom including shower and bathtub, large bedroom with access to deck, custom wood paneled walk in closet, seperate full-size washer dryer in unit in seperate laundry room, one deeded heated parking space included. Low assesments, pet friendly building. Good reserves.

I also have to figure out what to do with my house. But first I have to know where I will be living this fall :-D Would love to rent it instead of selling but it may be more of a headache than is worth.

In the meantime I purchased some books in spanish to read for fun and to help me not forget the language.

I wish I had made the decision to apply to b-school earlier so that I could have applied in Round 1, this sitting around and waiting is a real b*tch.

Rhyme when is your wedding? Honeymoon plans? Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now -- all good things though!

Wow that place looks pretty amazing. It's like 20 degrees in Boston today so right about now I'd love to go to Fiji and drown myself in rum.

nice! i notice that the resort probably has "open" shower...under the sky...now why the f**k would they do that :roll:

i went to maldives for my honeymoon and it was fantastic

just that they had the same shower facilities...luckily the walls were high enough :lol: :lol: :lol:

How am I? Sitting here playing the waiting game most likely until March. Best case scenario has me getting in to my b-school safety on Feb 2 which would take some pressure off but it wouldn't thrill me as much as getting into one of my top 2. We shall see though.

I wish I could quit work today lol but the b-school gods have me locked in until April most likely then I will have the best summer ever hopefully.

Been to FIJI many times, awesome place ..but foreigners or whites ( to be more specific) be careful in the night ...if u happen to visit the big towns or capital

If u get time travel to New Zealand as well..ur just 1 hr away and u wont regret it...

I been to Paradise resort in Maldives and know very well about the open showers....but the walls are high enough..

did u travel to Male ..the tiniest capital in the world...its amazing that the island is just 2/3 feet from the sea and u can see cars roaming on the roads..next to the sea barrier

Once I figure out where I'm going I will need to decide what to do with my house and my dogs. Berkeley would certainly be the easiest thing for me (Stanford too, but I try not to think about them). If I end up in Chicago or NY I'll have to leave them with my parents for at least the first year.

I was wondering, how did Chicago come to Bogart the moniker "GSB"? Stanford & Columbia, among others, also use the term yet we all know GSB references Chicago.

Figuring out my next move...feel like quitting and playing professional poker for 6 months or on a more serious note work for my Dad as a business development manager.

Duke Vs UCLA....I am leaning toward Duke as it feels stronger across the board. Hollywood will have to wait ! Chime in with your thoughts...
