So I have been on the Wait List for Darden since Rd. 1 and it is my top choice. I applied to 4 other schools in addition and my MBA quest has brought me to Chicago, Upstate NY, California, and CT. Last week I had a business trip in France and while I was there I was fortunate enough to get a meeting with a member of the board of Alumni for Darden. He is going to write a letter for me and the meeting was basically run much like a job interview.
I am also planning to retake the GMAT one more time - although I am not in love with the idea, Darden did ask if I would consider it. I have also sent them regular updates on my profile and kept in touch.
My fingers are crossed, should hear by mid march. Does anyone else have any additional ideas?

If they even mentioned it, I think you should retake the GMAT. Clearly that's an area that they are interested in and that at this point in your application you still have some opportunity to improve.
