Please find out if your benefits are subject to forfeiture upon leaving your position. In most cases they will be as generally one has to be at a retirement condition to retain stock options with their normal expiration schedule upon leaving their position. Often you will have a window after leaving of 90-days to exercise (accelerated expiration). Long shares from espp's, prior ex/holds, RSA vestings, etc are yours to keep. But please make sure that you ex/hold or ex/sell all options before expiration. There is nothing worse in my current position than to tell a participant that they have forfeited 70k in stock options because they waited too long to call in. Expiration is firm and there are NO EXCEPTIONS!
