I realize there aren't too many Canadians actively on this board, but I am one and I realized that there is a lot to figure out before going to bschool in the US.

A lot of this will apply to international students in general, but there should be some perks to being US's friendly neighbour to the north. I'm just starting my research now, so it would be great if anyone can post some good (reliable) info! thanks!

Topics we need to cover:
- student visa (F-1?)
- work visa (J-1?)
- student loans?
- scholarships/financial aid?

Questions:
Do you need 2 separate visas? one for school and one for internship?
Should I get a student loan from my home country or from the US?
Do international students qualify for the same scholarships/aid?

Your visa includes employment permissions through to the course end, so means you only need a student visa.

I have been through this before, but it might be different for Canadians.

You need to make sure the school issues an I-20 paper, which will be needed for your F1 visa.
YOu can have only one visa - F1. For internship, you will work on F1, they have something called CPT, which lets you work on that sheet of paper. Again this you will learn once you go to the school's internaitional career office. They will help on this.
now once you get your futll time offer, there are many ways to do this. Since you will come on F-1, you will have something called OPT to use for the first year of job, after that the compnay should apply for H1-B.

Irrespective, you only need one visa to be a legal status here.
Scholarships are generally harder for International students here..
