Yeah, he's one of my best friends, I've known him since elementary school. Just talked to him about it, he's going to find out if they'll even take them for applicants or if you have to be on the waitlist for them to accept them.


Then I think if your 2nd LOR is from current employer who can vouch for your work and job related growth and responsibilities they would supplement each other nicely. But def. get a second opinion.

I don't think I clarified enough, I've already turned in my application with two recs. I just read about how they accept new letters for people on the waitlist so I wasn't sure if they would accept them for people who have already turned in their apps and are pending decisions.

I say do it as long as your friend says all the right things. Such as showing how well you would fit in with the program. It really can't hurt; I only see an upside to this. Just my 2 cents..
