Yes, wear a suit. There was a thread on this subject a while back here at GMATclub.

I interviewed for Chicago GSB. I wore just a formal dress and a tie. My interviewer was working from home and he wore just a sweatshirt and jeans.

It would have looked really odd if i was sitting in starbucks with a suit. He actually also mentioned that I dont need to worry about the dress code and I could dress casual.

Anyway my interviewer was super nice!!!! So this might just be an one time occurance.

I would go with a suit and tie unless my interviewer explicitly mentions otherwise.

Is there a good tutorial on these things? I have an interview for Kellogg.

Should i be wearing formal? Tie/coat etc? What is the formality level in these interviews? I have been at a company where the culture is ultra-nonformal. I might be a little out of touch with formal clothing and conduct.

Has the interviewer told anything to u.

I had my interview at Kellogg. The interviewer specified that the dress code need not be fomal as it was on a week end.
