phew...first admit

Question

Got my acceptance letter today from Georgia Tech today.. definately a program not popular w/ gmat clubbers.. but I was extremely worried due to my profile (2.98 GPA, 600 GMAT, 4 years WE). I was well below Tech's gpa and gmat average (3.41 and 669).. 

I really tried to show why I would be a good fit for the progam and the things I could add..

Also, my parents recently bought a condo in atlanta as an investment property..so..guess who is going to be living for free for two years!!..I figure this would save me roughly $20,000.

COOL ! Great Job! Now you can relax. I know exactly what you were feeling. 

I almost went to GT (since I am from GA, I decided to leave GA) for my undergraduate, and I have many good friends who went there. I think you are going to like the place. Atlanta is a great city (except the traffic) with many fun things to do.

Congrats.. Gatech is a great program for operations/logistics mgmt. and perfectly located in atlanta, with many tech companies around, lots recruiting in that sector.. Waiting for any other decisions?

I owe a great deal of thanks to everyone on the forum who have helped me w/ gmat prep through the application process..

mbadart07 - I'm waiting on a decision from Vanderbilt. If I get in there, I will probably have a tough decision to make. US news has GT ranked well ahead of vandy, but I think they got that wrong. Vandy has a much better institutional reputation..plus BW has them ranked 30..
