Final score - 675 (96th Percentile)

- Confident QR
- Confused yet confident DI
- Shaky VR

I closed my eyes thinking I’ve drowned my exam fee despite decent preparation.

Opened my eyes to see 675 (96th Percentile) (730 in old format) in front of me.

My eyes went to Quant and I was disappointed with a 88 as I’d hoped for a complete score.

DI was decent with 83/82 not sure (waiting for official report)

VR is where my heart slightly sank with a 80 score and 60 percentile.

I am looking at pursuing a second MBA (first MBA was a Covid one in India and hence want a better experience) and am looking for a one year programme (full time). My target school is INSEAD and luckily this score meets all the sectional requirements to INSEAD too. Wanted to know which other programmes I should look at?

Brief on profile:
Indian Male
- Tier 1 - Chemical Engineering - 8+/10 CGPA
- Petrochemical Experience for 3 years
- Tier 1 MBA - ~3/4 CGPA
- Strong Positions of Responsibilities (best you can have in an Indian Bschool setup)
- Winner/Runner Up in Multiple Case Competitions
- Currently working in a front end consulting role at a Top ranked firm

Other things about me - quit chain smoking and am a seasoned runner and along with that I’ve upskilled in areas outside my domain too, research paper published in a top international journal for energy studies with 50+ citations.

Also will writing an exam like IELTS or TOEFL help make up for the low percentile in Verbal?

Looking forward to your help.

Also my GMAT journey was a crazy one. I had written it back in 2018 and got a 670 and had given up hope. Went ahead with the Indian MBA route. Somewhere at the start of this year I realised my older dream of studying from one of the best schools and just gave it a shot. I want to thank this community for all the guidance and support.
Hey, giri7

Congratulations on achieving a GMAT score of 675, an impressive result that enhances your already strong profile. While your verbal score of 80 is lower than your other sections, it is still a solid score.

Unfortunately, ELTS or TOEFL scores don't really add much to your application.

With your goal set on INSEAD's one-year MBA program, your score meets their requirements. You can also explore other top one-year MBA programs in addition to INSEAD.

We’d be happy to discuss your profile in more detail to enhance your application’s competitiveness. Feel free to schedule a complimentary profile evaluation session with our experts . We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools.

Hello giri7
I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your chances for a second MBA, I would just like to add that your overall profile looks strong to me for INSEAD. The only thing that concerns me a bit is your reason for a second MBA, they need to be strong. Since you have mentioned your first MBA from a Tier 1 school, you will really need to establish your reason for another one. Try thinking it like, what skills from a second MBA at INSEAD will help you achieve your long-term goals?
