Could some of the folks who intend to focus on entrepreneurship at B-school share a little bit about their plans? (I don't mean giving away your Great Idea, I mean how does B-school fit with what you want to do?)
Do you already have an idea in mind, and are going to school to gain the skills necessary to implement this idea? If so, will you participate in the on-campus recruiting or anything related to the typical job search? Do you plan to start your company right after B-school?
I like the idea of getting a concentration in entrepreneurship, because I think the skills associated with starting a biz (innovation, independence, leadership, practicality, etc) would be very applicable in the corporate world. But I don't have the Next Great Idea, and even if I did, I think that I'd want to work at a big firm for 5-10 yrs before branching off on my own.
Is anyone in the same boat, where entrepreneurship looks like an appealing concentration, but you don't really want to be an entrepreneur (at least not right now)?

I've worked in entrepreneurship for about five years even though I have been an entrepreneur for a very short time. There are plenty of ways to become an entrepreneur and not all of them mean having the Great Idea.
First of all you must ask yourself what kind of company you want to launch, which are your goals? Do you want a small consulting firm that gives you some money but won't make you awfully rich? Do you want a internet start-up that won't make a profit in a long time? Do you want to manage a technology spin-off from the university?
In the last case, which is the one I've worked the most and which I find the most interesting, you won't need to have the idea or develop the technology, but will help to find solutions to a technology and build a growth company around it. So in the end you will be only a part of the entrepreneurial team, probably writing the Business Plan, dealing with BA&VC and doing most of the management during the early stages.
I'm pretty sure that if you're open to it, you will find some opportunities to participate in such a company at Berkeley. Probably, the Business Plan Competition, the Lester Center and Berkeley's Technology Transfer Office are great sources to meet people with the same interests.

I'm also interested in Entreprenership, but not necesarily to launch my own business - not right away atleast. I find it interesting because I believe it is business in the purest form. You get a true understanding of what it takes running a business from the ground up. It can or should be helpful if you want to work in a business development/emerging markets/new business opportunities type of a department of a company or even dare I say - the sought after VC/PE side of things. If it all possible maybe even cross-functionalize with corp-finance. You gain true well-rounded "business" knowledge plus a "spike" in Finance if you cross-functionalize. I would like to think there are many opportunities with this type of combo and not just starting your own business, BDevelopment dept of a company, or VC/PE, but also consulting. Granted, these are my thoughts without knowing in detail what the courses in eship consist of, so I too have many questions about this. These are just my thoughts, if anyone can add more, that'll be great.
