If there's no difference in your overall score, I doubt it's worth volunteering

Hi prats006,
Here is our assessment after evaluation:
At 695 on the current GMAT, which sits at roughly the 97th percentile and maps to approximately 740 to 750 on the classic scale, this score already clears the working range for most M7 programmes, so the decision here is whether a one-point DI gain is worth the exposure.

- Superscoring policies vary, but schools that superscore will take your best section results regardless of which attempt they came from; submitting Attempt 2 gives them Q88, V83, and DI83 as your superscore, which is a one-point gain in DI against your Attempt 1 superscore. That is not a meaningful admissions difference at this level.
- The concrete risk is that some readers and some schools review all attempts, not just the superscore. Verbal dropping from 83 to 79 across attempts invites a question about consistency that your Attempt 1 score alone would not raise.
- A one-point DI improvement at the 97th-percentile range carries almost no weight in an admissions read; the section where that gain could matter is Verbal, and Attempt 2 moves it in the wrong direction.
- At a superscore of 695, the score itself is no longer the part of this application that needs attention; where files at this level typically get decided is career progression and the specificity of post-MBA goals.

The strongest angle to focus on now is making sure the essays and resume show scope and ownership clearly, because the test score has already done its job.

I reattempted the GMAT, but my score dipped from 695 to 675. My Verbal score went down from 83 to 79, while DI improved from 82 to 83, but my superscore is 695 itself.

Would it make sense to send this score to schools just to reflect the 1-point improvement in DI, or would I risk unnecessarily exposing my lower Verbal score from this attempt?

Attempt 1 : 695 (Q88, V83, DI82)

Attempt 2 : 675 (Q88, V79, DI83)

Superscore : 695 (Q88, V83, DI83)
