All the events I have gone to the admissions reps all said do not convert scores. Since you are coming from India and they know very well how the scoring system works its not an issue. If you were on a scoring system that was very different and from a place that is very unusual for MBA applicants then explaining the scoring system in the optional essay would be smart.

Since you are Indian, all schools these days get lots of Indian applicants...don't try to convert it. At most colleges very very few people ever graduate with a 4.0. I dated a girl who was valedictorian of a large university and she had a 3.97, getting a 4.0 is extremely rare at most schools. All it takes is one B in some class that is challenging and has a professor that doesn't like to give As and you don't have a 4.0
