The last school I visited I took my fiance with me on the tour of the school. There were about 35 people and we introduced ourselves in the beginning. There were about 8 other family members there as well, it seemed to be pretty accepted. If your going to use your family members input then they might as well see everything first hand as well. In my case it also helped to show my fiance what I was working towards so that she can understand why I spend so much time on my applications and less on her.

I had this conversation with my cousin not too long ago because I am wondering what my wife is going to do. Her boyfriend took her on tours and accepted student weekends to some schools and she said that they usually get all the significant others and set them up with the family group. They get their own little pitch about the schools and what its like from that point of view. With your son I don't know how that would work, if he is really young and sitting through something like that might bore him out of his mind.

Any city you visit you can find fun things for your wife and son to do...might be harder at a place like Tuck where there really is not a whole lot. Even Michigan might be tough, its in a cute small city but its not going to have as many things as Boston will.

In Boston have your wife take your son to the childrens' museum and the aquarium. Its going to be a lot more interesting for him than having a bunch of women chatting about how they feel about their husbands going to recruiting dinners every night.

The Children's museum in Boston is really nice as is the aquarium. Your son can feed fish to the seals in the outdoor exhibit. Also, they can check out the Boston Common, and go on a swan boat ride (don't know if this is available after labor day though).

We (Me and my wife) are planning to visit the clubs, adcoms etc together. Since she also wants to do an MBA eventually, I would want her to get this experience first hand. In fact, we are already doing all of our MBA hunting together. She joined me for the H/MIT/K/S/W info event that happened recently, and I am joining her for her visit to the MBA fair on 9th

In my post I talked about my cousin who went on tours with her boyfriend. He is starting at Ross this year. He actually made her a domestic partner for only one reason...cause he gets another football ticket. I am serious about that too.
