TOEFL - Do it. Its a very simple test. I think asking the schools for a TOEFL waiver may create a perception that you are lazy and are a whiner. Not that it is wrong to seek waivers, but I did TOEFL even when I am eligible for waiver.

You should just take it.

I took my exam mid-august. ETS is soooooooo slow with their scoring. I got my scores today. 114/120 with a 24 for speaking. That's a bit of a shocker. I thought 28-30 was my range.

Well, atleast I am done with this stupid test.

Wow what a difference. I got a 109 with 24 for speaking and I was thrilled with the same :-)

Atleast I got 30/30 for reading, writing and listening. So hopefully, ad-com wont be too concerned with 24

Oh .. that's unfortunate. I heard that schools like a 'speaking' score above 25. I wish you had lost 1 pt each from other sections to increase your speaking score to 27. Did you, by any chance, try to speak too fast to cover a lot of ground? Anyway, a TOEFL score ain't the most important thing .. and a 114 is still a pretty good score (With 30s in every other section .. wow).

I just felt very weird talking to a computer. I like to look at the person I am talking too. Thats one of the reasons why I will NEVER opt for a phone interview(that is if I am ever called for one)

I just saw a pattern ........

I have a 110 in TOFEL- with a 24 in writing
I have a 1530 in GRE - with a 5.0 in AWA
I have a 770 in GMAT - witha 4.5 in AWA

My essays suck ass........

Sigh........looks like I am lined up for a whole lotta dings :(

I am going to request for a waiver :) Did my MS here, so looks like I am eligible for one? Anyone else here who did his MS in the US and still took (or planning to take) their TOEFL?

Check last's years posts. If I remember correctly, Kellogg does require TOEFL even if you were taught in English (for some odd reason).
Most schools will waive it, though.

Yes. I mailed to adcoms for clarification on that. They said I can have waiver, if I can provide proof of English medium instruction.

Our Undergraduate certificates mention medium of instruction.

MIT clearly says that GMAT verbal part is enough to assess our English skills.
