I posted this in the Stanford area, but it's not getting enough attention. so I'm posting it here again.
I got an email from one of my recommenders saying that the hard copy of the Stanford recommendations (printed off from the application website itself) is different from the online version of what the recommenders need to answer. Did anyone have that problem? I can't seem what the recommenders see, so I'm waiting for him to let me know how they're different.
I don't understand how they can be different though, since the pdf they included was right where I signed up for the recommenders! Grr...

As you know, I am running too far behind in the Stan application. I haven't even looked at the online/paper applications. You would think that they would be the same. I think we won't be able to comment on this till your recommender sends you the list of the questions. In fact I am surprised that (s)he didn't send you the questions right away when (s)he found that there were differences.

well, this is the same recommender that gave me the cryptic "you might want to change recommenders after hearing how I want to do this" message...
On the other hand, my other recommender told me he'll get a draft to me by the end of this week (before he goes on travel next week) so I can edit it for him. So one down, one more to go.
