Trader,
thanks for your reply. I actually don't have any international experience and I can only speak basic Russian. Given my current credentials, do you see any areas to improve (besides GMAT) or any areas that I'm lacking? Also, you wouldn't happen to know where I can find information (profiles) on successful MBA candidates (work exp., undergrad schools, etc.) for the UK's top ten programs, would you? Thanks and good luck with your top choices.


I would work really hard on your essays, and try to write something very original. Do you have any team-leading experience? If so, you will need to represent that somewhere in the resume/CV. First step, is to get that interview offer.

Once you get to the interview stage, you're going to be asked some questions that will require some thought and articulation. I would practice mock interviews with someone who will really grill you. Why Oxford? What can you offer to the rest of the class of '09?
