Chicago is not all that surprising, I think it has the most applicants and its top ranking per BW has a huge draw to it. I know people here aren't as bad as other boards with rankings but I am curious how big of a factor that has. Personally I am trying not to be swayed by rankings at all (thats tough at times though) because that seems to change year by year (except the top 3 in US News).
I am actually fairly surprised that Columbia is so high considering the lack of discussion. Then again it is a great school in a highly desirable city and has a great rep in finance where a lot of people hope to move into. (though Pelihu had a great write up on the internship hunt that has a little opinion on that in the current student forum).
By the way I voted Kellogg because I got in there so now I wont be disappointed if I get dinged at GSB and MIT. If I get in that creates a whole new dilema and probably wouldn't be resolved without going to admitted student weekends.
