thanks all - as part of my research into the various schools, I'm taking a look at the elective course offerings and started wondering about the ease of taking courses from other programs. It seems that it's pretty doable at the schools with more flex curricula - a bit of a squeeze at other schools!

thanks!

HBS allows you to cross register in graduate and foreign language programs. Often times people have intentions to cross-register, but run out of time and do not take classes outside of the bschool. I plan on taking a course or two at the law school my second year, but I wouldn't be surprised if I stuck with all HBS courses.

I believe most, if not all, schools allow you to do this. At Tepper, you can take courses at the Heinz School, SCS, and others.

I think it is quite common, but it is really hard to find the time to do the outside courses. There are a few relative cross-overs (M&A and restructuring classes are the most obvious), but heading into second year I am finding myself really pressed for credits to cover off what I want to do. Even with additional "free" credits.
