Hello,
I have a question regarding the references for MBA applications. In most info sources it is stated that the references should prepare one generic document which covers the questions of all schools (of course in addition to the seperate questionaires). But when I had a look on how LBS and INSEAD request the references, I found out that they don't seem to accept the reference essays in a seperate document, but demand that their forms are filled out (question -> answer, question -> answer,...). As the questions are different (at least partially), this seems like more effort for the persons that provide the reference.
Schools I apply to: LBS, INSEAD, IMD, Judge
Does anyone have experience with this topic? Is it necessary that the references fillout the individual forms or is it possible to reduce the effort for the busy referees?

I got my recommendors to do the toughest (i.e. the one with most variety of questions) first. This way He/she were able to reuse most of the content on other simpler reference forms.

I've applied to two schools so far (Judge and Said), but from what my recommenders told me, they were not able to re-use much of the content. Moreover, I'd say that even if the questions seem similar, it still demands a considerable effort to adjust recommendations so that they don't look as separate pieces of info put together. So I'm afraid that yes, all this requires a lot of work from your recommenders.
Btw, if you don't mind telling, which rounds are you planning to apply?
