Hi,

I'm interested in an MBA. My problem is that I don't have a degree and I am in my mid 30's.

I don't have any management experience nor any experience working for a company. I don't have any transcripts or employer references.

I can say I am successful in my field of work; as a financial speculator. Currently I make a seven figure income, it will probably be more by the time I make an application.

Providing I get the required competitive GMAT score, what are my chances of getting a place at a good school like HBS or Insead?

I feel the MBA would be useful for me in pursuing venture capital projects.

I honestly don't see how an MBA would help you, since you're obviously doing very well for yourself without a degree. I agree with the previous poster that you may want to consider an executive MBA program, but other than that, I think you're over-qualified for an MBA program.

Thanks for the replies. By financial speculation I mean trading in Futures and Currencies.

How is an Executive MBA different from a MBA? Do they not have the same content? I doubt I am over-qualified as I don't have any experience with business. I presume a MBA would be helpful when investing in businesses.
