Hi everybody. I just created this account today, but I've been lurking here for a couple of months. I am currently in the process of studying for the GMAT and preparing my applications for the next cycle. I'm in a somewhat unusual situation, and I am looking for advice or guidance on my application, particularly on the essays. Unfortunately, my circumstances are unusual enough that if I post enough information about myself to get reasonable guidance, I would identify myself. Please, if you have a little bit of experience with the application process and a few minutes, PM me for my details.

I'm a little confused about what your asking for? What advice or guidance about the essays are you asking? What the word limits are? What color font you should use? If you should write about the time you stole a million dollars during a bank heist?
You'll find that the overwhelming majority of posters are extremely helpful, and that if you ask direct and specific questions, someone will most likely reply. I have no idea on what your asking for in regards to the essay. And instead of asking for PMs, I would suggest YOU PM those you feel are most willing to help. For example, if you had questions about Stanford, I would look at the Stanford thread and see who has been a pretty active player on the board and PM him, as opposed to PMing someone on the HBS with questions regarding Stanford.
Just my thoughts. Welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll enjoy your experience here in our little community. I certainly have.

Lakai, thank you for the suggestion that I should clarify my question. I'm applying to top schools, and I'm particularly interested in HBS. I am strong academically in a fairly technical and quantitative field, and while I haven't taken the GMAT yet, I suspect I will do well. On the flip side, I have little leadership and work experience to speak of. I question how much of a liability the lack of leadership and work experience in the face of a strong academic background is and clues or hints on intelligent ways to frame my essays.
