Im freaking out here !!

Ive got my Darden interview tomorrow morning, and am getting really stressed out. I usually dont feel overly anxious, and try to go with the flow, but considering that Ive been dinged at my other two R1 schools, I feel more pressure going into this one.

Add to the fact that Darden's interview usually revolves around the 'tell me your story' question, which I suck at, and I have a feeling that I might not get too much sleep tonight, which would absolutely suck !!

Sorry, just had to vent and let that out ... wish me luck !!

Dont worry! Be Positive :-D As you already know Darden's interview revolves around "Tell me your story"..SO PRACTICE this story! I would call the people who read/ reviewed my essay and tell them my story & keep repeating till I sound positive, confident, calm, composed & know my story well!

And don't already tell yourself that you suck at it & go for the interview, you will really suck at it! Instead try practicing.

Thanks for the reply. I think Im stressing a bit because I dont exactly know what point of my 'story' to hit on ... its such an open ended question ! :)

I found a good template for that somewhere in the interview guide posts:

"I did A, that lead to B, and now I want to get an MBA to do C" (give them the most important information first, so if you choose to elaborate, they don't feel you are scattered). If they want more you can continue with
"I am good at A because of D, E, and F which I am very passionate about. I believe I can contribute with J and K to the program. " etc.


Practice that 3 minute speech in front of a mirror / camera / cell phone recorder etc 3-4 times and you will be able to lay it out in no time tomorrow. If you are bored - come up with examples for each letter in case they want you to go deeper into any one of those. Practice makes perfect.
