Many essay questions in the PT MBA program at Kellogg resemble the FT questions
there are however 2 which I think are singularly unique to this particular program:
1. Describe the most difficult personal dilemma you have encountered thus far in life and what you learned from it. (750 words maximum)
2. You are about to launch your own company. Considering your own strengths, what personality traits you would look for as you hire an executive team of three to help in your venture? (750 words maximum)
I was wondering if anybody had thoughts on these questions... for the first question I was contemplating describing a complicated family situation and the stuff I learned from it.... Would a professional story be a better idea?? How about a story about how one of my colleagues was about to be fired and I found out about it before he did and how I tried to subtly convince him to mend his ways and how I talked to mgmt to reconsider? Lot of interesting lessons in this one....
I really don't know how to approach the 2nd one. Should I mention specific positions and qualities I would look for? Would putting in a story about how I learned about the importance of specific skills... How about mentioning real people I would want in my organization?? Any help would be appreciated!!!! Really stressing about with the whole app process!!!!
Thanks!!!
