Hey everyone,
It's Thanksgiving here in the USA and I was just wondering what people's preferences were: fried versus roasted turkey. I've roasted traditionally but recently started to fry my turkeys and have fallen in love with it. What's everyone else's thoughts?

Happy Thanksgiving!
Two years ago we did a turkey cook-off with my husband's family. Three turkeys, one fried, one roasted, one smoked. The unanimous consensus was:
1) fried
2) smoked
3) roasted
I'm currently on an overseas posting, so will be celebrating far from my family this year, with roast turkey as the only choice (but yay for expat restaurants that prepare traditional holiday meals!).
Be safe with your fryer, and have a wonderful holiday!

smoked. I haven't tried that before. Thanks for the heads-up!
My friend has an electric butterball turkey fryer. As long as the turkey is properly defrosted it's nice and safe with no open fire.
