Hey Guys,
Anyone know if this is big in the US? If you are Asian but have a MBA from a top 20 US school, do you get the same salary package compared to a European who also have a MBA from a top US school? Both needs working visa and have the same working experience.
I am currently working in Dubai and here it sucks to be an Asian because most of us are not western educated. You get paid 1/3 compared to the white person even though you have the same output. And I am speaking of big companies - the fortune 100 ones. It's ridiculous how the Asian and the White person have the same position but salary wise, the Asian is paid half or 60% compared to the latter.
Is this situation rampant in the US/Europe?

USA is a mixture of all cultures and religions. Unlike in Dubai, paying someone less because of his or her sex, religious, skin color or beliefs is illegal.

is this though because the "white" employees are expats actually and it takes 50% more to lure them in from other parts of the world? So, basically is this a supply/demand situation or discrimination?
If I were moving to Dubai from the US, I would expect a good salary increase or some other meaningful reason why I would live in 120 degree weather in a country where i don't know the language, and culture that is foreign to me.
Or a native Dubai resident with white skin color is offered 2x the salary than a native Dubai resident with a dark skin color?
