Hi all
I recently took GMAT exam ( my third attempt) and got a 650 Q 48 , V 31 . I have tried all the books , materials and courses but still unable to figure out how to improve further . Somehow I feel I won't be able to score higher than 680 as my verbal rarely crosses 35 -36 mark. In such a case I will have to apply to good programs with a 650
. Needed help on improving my score - is there any structured approach I can cross 700 mark ? else I will apply to not so good institutes with this score. My confidence level is very low in CR questions and number of times I tend to give up due to time pressure in last 10-15 minutes.
Profile brief-
Indian Female , 2+ years of work experience in supply chain management and operations ( currently working in P& G in product supply )
B.Tech in Agricultural & Food Engineering + MBA ( dual degree integrated ) from IIT Kharagpur.
8.6/10.0 CGPA , department rank 2 and among top 10 % students in IIT.
Extra acads- currently working as startegy head for India Women Network and a NGO working towards bridging gender equality gaps.

I'm sorry to hear that the questions on CR is causing frustration. First, don't forget to take a deep breath. It seems that your past experiences with this section is taking a toll on your confidence level. Forget the past and know that you have prepared for this section as much as (if not more than) the other sections. Second, remember that the key to CR is reading to find the assumption or at least the missing links between the premise and the conclusion.
We have a few blogs on The Economist GMAT Tutor Blog that focus on CR and that provide some additional tips.
