Zidane will be lucky if the french don't murder him upon his return. What an insanely stupid move - particularly for his last match, at his last world cup, during the second overtime of the world cup match. What a moron.

Agree about Zidane... he displayed a lot of irresponsibilty with that behaviour. Should have kept his head.

Who knows, with him in the penalty kick lineup, France would have had a chance.

But, Italy played well throughout the rounds and deserved it.

Congrats Gauss. The ending was justified. Two great teams giving it their all.
Zidane did screw up and he will regret it for a long long time. But the man
deserves credit for all the troubles Italia had before the WC.

Au revoir Zidane. The world will miss you.

hard luck that argentina lost.. would have really liked to see them more agressive.............

I know the second half and on extra time Italy did not play a great game but persistence was crucial, was amazing to be in my country last night I have never seen so much patritism in the streets it aslo seemsthat this gup will bring a lot of good to the country, studies shows that can have a impact of 1.5% on the national GDP.......

I do not htink that this was Zizu last game, cannot end a career in this way,...
give a look at this immage a bit summarize the game conclusion....

I was just happy to hear U2 in the end with their "ONE"

kind of wanted France to win, but was really happy for Italy after Zidane showed his crazy behavior...

...had a nice break from GMAT, so that's all good

to reveal the truth about this zidane affair .
The behavior of Materazzi is completely unethical
Italians would have deserve a true victory

u are right Materazzi is not exactly an angel often times in the past he has had disciplinary problems, actually is nick name in the Italian league is Martellazzi (something like Hammer) and if not wrong he was disqualified times because insulted a black person.... is btw strange because the goal that he scored in the final as he mention to a journalist was dedicated to his mother....that died in the eighties....
