Okay, let me try to say something a wise-ass would. Read the next couple of line in a Yoga instructor accent, apparently humans tend to think that those who talk like Yoga instructors are fairly "Wise" (Trust me it works that way)- One of the many reasons I find humans intriguing- They have a disgustingly amazing biases.
"Negativity is not something to run from, you need to embrace the negativity building up inside of you. The negative thoughts such as, What if I screw up again and what punishment will be forthcoming are mostly because of the way we were taught accountability in childhood. When you made a mistake, you got yelled at, you developed a program in your head that mistake=consequence. To break that sequence, you need to understand that even after you screw up, there are way more places to go. For example, I screwed up in IIT-JEE pretty bad, my father's disappointment was clear on his face. To my misfortune, he even told everyone in his office, "My son is useless" (Yeah I knew because I was in a wedding and I came to know how popular I am in his office). I was pretty hurt really, and truly speaking I don't do well on the tests, I somehow always miss out on something. So my way of dealing with the issue is to ignore everyone (including me) who will just think on the mistakes and punish me. I started looking for small things that made me happy., I joined a small yet prestigious college in my state and I practically revolutionised it, I ignored competition because for me competition is a waste of my time. I kept working and eventually, the small college (Compared to IIT) let me become the person I intended to. I took the GMAT and on my reattempt, I only scored a 700, my father said the same thing again (Behind my back but this time I accidentally eavesdropped) but it didn’t bother me. Because by this time I have learnt that self worth comes from within. I only need to be in a top institution to have a broader impact and access to employers. But eventually it comes down to what I truly want to get in the end not the means to that end. Business school is merely a means. Students and alums make bschools, if all of them decided to take back their share, schools will fall apart.”
Another way to deal with negativity is to introduce another negative, think of Business schools beneath you. Simple as that. When you just don’t consider Harvard above, you automatically gain confidence and be yourself. Call it superiority complex but that is how humans work, whatever you wanna say.
Yup, the ugly truth is what it is.
Humans, like us, are simple beings who just get into complexity to avoid dealing with what we call the real answer. I am no spiritual yogi. But quite frankly you don't need to be one to see through things. Accept things for what they are, negative, or positive. We cannot change the past and cannot leave it behind (it will be called denial), we need to embrace it, own up to it and move towards future. Think not on the mistakes that you will make but make sure you judge every action you take now so that you won't regret doing something permanently stupid in present that you regret in the future.

Cheers!!!!
