Well, totally off topic.. but these women say they met at b-school.. & become friends ever since.

The 4 main characters are all powerful execs.. One is a publisher, another one is an MD in an IB (the name of the firm is "Gorham Sutter".. with a logo GS.. a parody of the other GS?).. the others are a COO and a Marketing VP.

There are many bad reviews, but I like it.. it's entertaining & funny.. just take it lightly people. Some people are so serious when watching light shows like this.

What do you guys think? Shall we turn this thread into a gossip thread? :lol:

They should have gone with Goldwoman Sechs.

Is lipstick Jungle supposed to be the same thing? Sex and the City sure paved the way for these shows.

Yep, these shows have a HUGE Sex & the City-ish aura.. some people hate them because of that, because nothing beats the original.. but it's pretty fun to watch :)

I like the idea for the show, but I feel like the characters are all a little dysfunctional.... and not in the meaningful sex and the city way. I guess my issue is that each character doesn't seem to have a distinct personality, so the stories that surround them are just thrown in randomly. And since the characters are all sort of similar (instead of the girl's girl/Carrie, the prude/Charlotte, the sex kitten/Samantha, the working girl/Miranda), I don't expect them to react in any specific way. Nor can I relate to any of the characters.

I loved Sex and the City, so maybe I'm expecting too much of this drama.

i am ashamed to admit this but i watched 3 episodes of Cashmere Mafia. Wasted my time...

it is a direct rip of SATC. CM is unfunny and unoriginal. i stopped watching after the used the term "the modern woman"....
