Hi 2012dreams, glad you started the thread.
I'm liking Fuqua very much, there's a lot of camaraderie here. Fuqua is not kidding about the whole Team Fuqua culture. My learning team is laid back and efficient, which leaves me a lot of time to explore career options. The SY are very approachable, and try to give us honest feedback about the companies they interned at. The alumni are very help in doing informational interview. I find it easy to balance academics with career search and co-curriculars (believe it not, I actually get 8 hours of sleep), since I'm not going for consulting or finance jobs, where grades are important. There are so many exciting co-curricular options here, that I have to prioritize what I want to. I'm focused on doing FuquaOnBoard (serve as non-voting member board member on non-profit), P4E (work to start up a company and get VC funding), and took a cabinet position at one of the larger clubs. The Career Management Center and clubs constantly e-mail out awesome internship options with interesting organization, I wish I had more time so I can get involved with them all.
billyjeans and I are buddies now. We took an incredible trip to Myrtle Beach and booked a 4 bedroom beach timeshare with more beds than people in our group. We also did our Duke basketball campout together.
My only complaint is that there's so much school/career/networking/co-curricular activities to do, that I don't have much time for my hobbies - adventures in the great outdoors.
