Hey everyone!
My name is Tom and I'm getting ready to enter in the 2nd year of the MBA. When i'm not networking in the real world, you'll usually find my networking online. I've really been trying to build up my Linkedin networking presence (and ability) over the summer. Its amazing how many recruiters and talent acquisition folks at blue chip companies there are on linkedin, and i'm always reaching out to them to chat, and to connect.
I also have been trying to connect with as many other current MBAs as possible...to learn, to grow, and to grow my relevant connections. So, I started a Class of MBA 2013 Linkedin Open Networking group. The hope is that people who join can invite a handful of other 2013's they know (whether at your school, from your internship, or outside of school), and then you can easily add everyone new to the group by saying that you know them via this group. It doesn't take very many people to get involved to create a snowball effect.
The connections will allow you to find more people when you do linkedin searches (through the connections of your new 1st connections), and allow others to find you when they search (as you are now in their network).
The group is here:

[email protected], if you would like to join (and let me know if your linkedin email is different than the one you email me from).
Thanks!
