Greetings,
I've recently been admitted to a T10 full-time two-year MBA program in the US, and I would very much appreciate this forum's insights.
My classes start this summer, and I'm going to the US end of this July. Due several personal circumstances, I cannot get to the city where my current employer is (I've been working remotely for over a year now). Hence, I cannot formally leave the job because to do so I have to sign certain papers, return my laptop, etc. I've told my employer that I'm going for an MBA, and they've offered me to take a sabbatical leave for up to 1 year and then leave any time I want within this year.
What do you guys think of this? Sabbatical would be very convenient for me but I'm concerned whether it might cause any problems with my university or potential future employers (being in a sabbatical leave for some time after having started an MBA in the US). I don't plan to return to my employer after graduation.
Many thanks for your help!
