Hey everyone,
I’m in a tough spot deciding between multiple MSBA offers and could really use some advice. Here are my options:
- Carlson MSBA (35K scholarship) - (Tuition : $73500)
- Foster MSBA (no scholarship) - (Tuition : $60,159)
- Purdue MSBAIM (7200$ scholarship) (Tuition : $56700)
My top two choices are Carlson and Foster: I’m particularly inclined towards Carlson because of its curriculum, learning experience, and as it is one of the oldest!!
However, I also have my eyes on Seattle as a location (which makes Foster tempting).
My Three Most Crucial Factors:
- Alumni network & industry connections – I want strong networking opportunities, especially for roles in tech.
- Curriculum & hands-on experience – I value a practical, project-based approach.
- ROI – The financial aspect is important, especially since I have a $35K scholarship from Carlson, but none from Foster.
My Main Dilemma:
- Does location (Seattle vs. Minneapolis) play a significant role in tech job opportunities post-MSBA?
- Would the Foster brand and location outweigh the Carlson scholarship and curriculum fit?
- I want a full learning experience- where Foster offers only evening classes and weekend classes + full time working professionals in the cohort- how will it impact the learning experience?
I’d love to hear from current students, alums, or anyone with insights into these programs.
Any advice is much appreciated!
