Hi ntang,

I have very similar interest and background as you and the corporate social responsibility focus is really important for me. I'm applying for Darden and Haas because I feel they are strong in that field. Darden also allows fee waiver for Peace Corp volunteers.

Hi Everyone,

I came upon this thread, and was glad to see some inquiries into non-profit/social enterprise programs! I am interested in applying technology to the non-profit sector, but have found very few programs that have programs strong in both. Only Haas comes to mind so far (which I had a fabulous visit!).

Since I am most likely applying in Fall 2009, any ideas or leads of other schools I should be looking at would be greatly appreciated!

Does Darden provide a fee waiver for AmeriCorps participants as well?

Berkeley's southern neighbor Stanford is good/better in non-profit and technology.

Here's the official line from Darden:
Waivers are only granted under extreme circumstances. To request an application fee waiver, please submit an email to [email protected] detailing your reasons. Please label the subject line “Fee Waiver Request.” Teach for America corps members and alumni, Peace Corps volunteers, and military members who have active duty experience within the last three years are eligible.

I don't think AmeriCorps is eligible.
